Endesco, Inc. (www.endescoinc.com, an award-winning certified DBE/MBE/SBE civil engineering firm in the metro Washington DC area, established in 1997) is seeking a Mid to Senior Traffic Engineer (3+ years of experience) to join our team in the Metro DC area. The selected candidate will support our clients’ efforts by working at an on-site consultant at MDOT State Highway Administration district office at Annapolis, MD (with a hybrid work schedule, two days on-site is required each week), performing traffic engineering services.  

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations, perform traffic analysis, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to external and internal customers. 
  • Review, verify, and comment on technical traffic engineering reports and design plans to ensure consistency with MDOT and local standards 
  • TIS review, capacity checks, make comments on development recommendations, liaison with highway design & developers, prepare Design Requests, QC work of off site staff, some design review. 
  • Manage workflow of off-site tasks. 

Qualifications

Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Civil Engineering (in Transportation) or related field
3+ years of experience, 5+ years highly desired.
EIT license required, PE license preferred
Familiarity with MUTCD, ADA guidelines, tools such as Synchro, MicoStation, Highway Capacity Software, Highway Safety Manual, etc.

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
